The PAKT farmers' cooperative wants to inspire and connect as many people as possible with what is on their plate. On the roofs and around the warehouses, everything revolves around local, high-quality and healthy food. Since 2017, our urban farmers have been sharing their knowledge on the rooftop farm of PAKT and supplying freshly harvested vegetables - which they grow in their fields outside the city - to Antwerp chefs and caterers.

In 2019, Wim and Joost van Oogstappel expanded the offer with organic vegetable baskets , which can be collected every week in the courtyard of PAKT. This turned out to be a great success, because after the first season they were already fully booked. In 2020, beekeeper Joris and Kathy of Forestree Farm joined the weekly farm stall with PAKT honey of the rooftop farm and fresh eggs. Possibly there will be flowers as well this year.

Even though last year was hard for chefs and their suppliers, our urban farmers have continued to supply their loyal customers for their take-away menus. Because of corona - in close consultation with our customers - we canceled the organic retail products, and our farmers decided to only offer their fresh products straight from their fields.
Stien and Koen have been growing organic vegetables at Groenlof in Ghent for four years now. Now that they have moved to Lier, they are happy to join our farmers' cooperative. So from mid-April we can offer with a wider range of vegetables straight from the field.
